Pauline Matondo

I am a lay pastor and a local preacher, a role I’ve been blessed to serve in since 2019. Our church is a vibrant and diverse community, something I deeply appreciate and love about our congregation.

Having lived in Bracknell for over 20 years, this town holds a special place in my heart. I’m blessed with two wonderful daughters who have both completed their university studies and are now thriving in their careers.

As part of our community outreach, I serve as a volunteer chaplain with the Fire and Rescue Service, providing pastoral support to firefighters and staff, sharing in both their joys and challenges.

Our church is a welcoming space for everyone, and I look forward to connecting with you, whether you’re a long-time member or a first-time visitor.

Hazel Gennery

I was involved in the setting up of Church @ the Pines and have been part of the Leadership Team ever since. I am minute taker for Church and Leadership meetings as well as a member of the choir. I am also part of the welcome team for Sunday worship.

Ben is our treasurer. He has been a part of the Church @ the Pines for many years, attending with his wife and their 3 children.

My name is Linda and I have been worshipping at Church of the pines since we moved to Bracknell a few years ago. I am involved with supporting with the Sunday School. I also host and lead a weekly homegroup at our house with my husband Reg.

Within the Church Sarah usually plays the flute for hymns, sometimes the piano, and enjoys being one of the Sunday School leaders. Sarah is also responsible for much of the admin that is needed for the church, putting together the slides for services, arranigng the rota and sending our weekly newsletter.

Monthly Prayer

Lord, we ask you to bring peace to our troubled world. We pray for and end to war and violence wherever it may be. We ask you to bring peace to Gaza and for aid and support to reach those in desperate need.

We pray for all aid workers, protect them and comfort them with your Holy Spirit. We pray for Ukraine, and for everyone that has had to leave their homes due to the war with Russia.

Thank you for all the wonderful and amazing beauty in your creation. Help us to protect it better, ensuring it is looked after for generations to come.

We pray for all young people and staff returning to education settings. May they enter this new term with a renewed sense of purpose and commitment to their ongoing studies. Help schools, colleges and universities to be a place of safety and community for all.

For young people who are considering their next steps, be that education, training or work, may they trust in you at this time and may your love give them strength, guidance and confidence.

We pray for those that are sick and ask you to help them get better. Be with them in moments of pain and uncertainty and bless the hands that care for them.

Amen.
