Pauline Matondo

I am a lay pastor and a local preacher, a role I've been blessed to serve in since 2019. Our church is a vibrant and diverse community, something I deeply appreciate and love about our congregation.

Having lived in Bracknell for over 20 years, this town holds a special place in my heart. I’m blessed with two wonderful daughters who have both completed their university studies and are now thriving in their careers.

Our church is a welcoming space for everyone, and I look forward to connecting with you, whether you're a long-time member or a first-time visitor.

Hazel Gennery

I was involved in the setting up of Church @ the Pines and have been part of the Leadership Team ever since. I am minute taker for Church and Leadership meetings as well as a member of the choir. I am also part of the welcome team for Sunday worship.

Ben Spain

Ben is our treasurer. He has been a part of the Church @ the Pines for many years, attending with his wife and their 3 children.

Nicky Hartley

I'm one of the Sunday School leaders. We are very blessed to have so many young people in our Church, with those aged 4 and upwards coming along to our Sunday School during Sunday worship. We have a lovely room that we meet in just next to the main hall where services are held, and we're always delighted to welcome new families to our church community.

Alison Evans

I am a teacher in a local secondary school and have lived in Bracknell for a number of years.  I enjoy being part of a diverse and inclusive community church and being involved with the musical life of the church.

Sarah Cooper

Sarah has been worshipping at C@P since 2015. She works for a children’s charity, has two teenage children and a cat! Within the Church Sarah usually plays the flute for hymns, sometimes the piano, and enjoys being one of the Sunday School leaders. Sarah is also responsible for much of the admin that is needed for the church, putting together the slides for services, arranigng the rota and sending our weekly newsletter.

Weekly Prayer

We pray for all those affected by the various conflicts and natural disasters, remembering especially those affected by the floodings in Spain.

The bereaved, the injured, those made homeless and those still caught up in the chaos and destruction around them. We pray for all who’ve become refugees and those facing confusion and uncertainty for the future. Help them find the hope and security they seek so that they may overcome the traumas they have suffered.

We ask also for your love and care on all who face conflict and aggression. Quell such aggression and protect them with Your presence; give them comfort and strength and bring them the confidence they need. Banish the hate in the minds and hearts of those leading these conflicts and lead them to pursue instead peace and harmony so that people could live and work together.

We pray for Your special blessings and guidance on those who work to bring help and relief to all who are affected by these conflicts and disasters. Provide them with all the resources they need to accomplish this. Help us to understand these needs and freely share the many resources you bless us with.

Amen.
