Worship with us

We welcome all to worship with us at our Sunday services. We meet at 11am in the lower building of the Pines School. There is ample parking and disabled access.

We are an ecumenical partnership, meaning that our services celebrate both Anglican and Methodist traditions. We have a rota of ministers, lay preachers and worship leaders, meaning our services can vary from week to week. We enjoy this variety and the different worship styles, whilst still maintaining some familiar structure to our weekly services.

We have all age worship on the first Sunday of the month, where our young people often help to deliver the service as well as taking part, along with the whole congregation (regardless of age!). We usually have one Anglican Communion service and one Methodist communion service each month. Other services are led by lay preachers and worship leaders. We have a thriving Sunday School, which meets on all Sundays (apart from the first for all age worship) during term time.

An example Order of Service

Whilst our services can vary, we do usually follow a similar order of service. Some people can find it useful to know more about the service structure before attending, so here's an example order of service.

Monthly Prayer

Loving God, in an age of change and uncertainty, we turn to you — our steady refuge and unshakable hope. As our nation faces challenges — in community, in economy, in the care of our world —teach us to listen with compassion, to act with justice, and to seek peace in all things. Bless those who serve in public life, those who care for others, and those whose quiet faithfulness holds families and communities together. Where there is division, sow your unity. Where there is despair, plant hope. Where hearts are weary, bring rest and renewal. Help us to be good stewards of creation, to protect the vulnerable, and to live as people shaped by grace and mercy.

We give thanks for the safe arrival of new babies, especially the recent addition to our congregation. We pray for all families as they adapt to these new beginnings. We also pray for families who are finding it hard, either to grow their family, or in family relationships.

We pray for all those known to us who are unwell, recovering, grieving or seeking your guidance.

We pray for our local community. May they know your love and peace in their lives. Amen.
